BIKING
Bicycling is a low-impact, aerobic workout that provides a myriad of health benefits and can be continued for life without major time or money commitment. Bicycling can reduce back pain and stress, burn calories and raise your metabolic rate, and has the added benefit of getting your vitamin D.
With Club Crabtowne you don’t need to bike alone, and by having the camaraderie of friends you just may be inspired to get out a bit more often or to peddle a bit further. Haven’t biked in a while? We have our wimp bikes to get you going. If you don’t see a bike ride that fits your needs, or if you have a trail that you’d like to share, just suggest it.
Over the years we've gone on biking trips to Cape May, Chincoteague, B&A trail, and many other interesting places. We usually end up at an eatery to rehash the events of the day.
Please contact Biking committee chair Mike Calo with biking ideas or for more information.
We had fun on the June 8 NCR Trail Ride; the weather was perfect and the river was its usual bubbly self at the rapids, not far from the starting point in White Hall. Join us on the NCR Fall Foliage ride on October 26 at 10:00 and see the rapids - and other cool stuff - in person!
